"Grandpa and Bossie, the art work title of this piece, is a tribute to my father and grandfather, who daily milked cows using a peg-leg stool. Every dairy had a head cow named Bossie and she was usually the favorite animal in the herd. The cool hues in green, blues and muted gray-violet on a light beige background contrasts nicely with the milker's red spotted sweater hat. Professional watercolor technique of dropped in water marks adds dazzling interest.  Light tan wooden shoes and the milk bucket add a touch of humor. The scripture, “In everything give thanks.”, 1 Thessalonians 5:18a, is a remembrance that all gifts are from the Lord."
